A visitor with a helmet and lamp inside the tunnel of the Cludinico mine
A few kilometres from Ovaro

Former Cludinico mine

With a helmet on your head and a guide beside you, you step into the old coal mine of Val Degano and into the stories of the people who worked there.

A journey beneath the valley

Beneath Cludinico run 150 kilometres of tunnels, dug to extract coal from the valley's seams. The visit opens up a small part of them: you start at the mine, put on the equipment and, together with an expert guide, enter the world of the miners and their secrets.

It is a different kind of adventure for the whole family, and children remember it for a long time.

Before you go

The mine is a few kilometres from the campsite, and in the evening you come back for dinner a short walk from your pitch.
